Fresh Update: Andaman Scholarship last date has been extended to 30 November 2023
The main objective of this scholarship is to give financial support to all the students of the SC and ST, Backward classes, EBC, and for minority, disabled community. This scholarship is provided for deserving and unprivileged students of the state of Andaman and Nicobar. They provide the scholarship to encourage and give motivation to all the capable students for further pursuing their studies without any financial struggle.

1) CCB Scholarship Scheme For Andaman Students
Combined Counselling Board (CCB) Scholarship scheme 2023 invited all the Andaman & Nicobar students who want to do higher education after 12th and graduation. Under this scheme, the students get Rs 60 thousand to 2, 50,000 rebate or discount in course fees, which varies from course to course. But it is important that the college one can choose must be associated with CCB and approved by a related govt. department either by UGC, MHRD, AICTE, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be an A & N Island resident
- CCB Associated college must be govt. department-approved colleges
- Engineering, pharmacy, law, agriculture, management students are eligible to apply

2) Pre-Matric Andaman Nicobar Scholarships for ST Students
The Government of India along with the Ministry of Tribal has invited applications for Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students of grades 9th and 10th in Andaman and Nicobar for the year 2023-24. The scholarship is applicable for candidates who are permanent residents of Andaman and Nicobar. They aim at providing a good education for students to excel in their future efforts
Duration of the Scholarship: This scheme is valid nearly for 10 months to 1 year
Eligibility
To get eligibility for this scholarship the candidate should
- Be in a Scheduled Tribes population
- Should have a permanent home at Andaman and Nicobar
- Should be studying at Class 9th and 10th in a well-recognized institution
- The student’s annual income must not be more than Rs.2 lakh
- Should not get any other Pre-Matric Scholarship
Awards received in this Scholarship
- In this Scholarship, the students receive Rs.150 per month for day scholars and Rs.350 per month for hostel students.
- The Books and another Adhoc award of Rs.750 per annum for all-day scholars and Rs.1,000 per annum for hosteller students
- Then additional fees for disabled students up to Rs.240 per month

3) Dr. Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward Classes
The Ministry of Social Justice of India has invited applications from all students of General Category from Class 11th to Ph.D. level who are coming from Economically Backward Classes for Dr. Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship. This intends to encourage economically backward candidates for pursuing their higher education and strengthen their economic subsidy
Duration: Scholarship is valid nearly for 10 months to 1 year
Important Dates for Submission
- The closing date for this Scholarship is on 15th February 2023
- The application for correction changes is on 28th February 2023
- The institution verification is on 28th February 2023
Eligibility criteria of this Scholarship
- Should be a resident of Andaman and Nicobar
- Should be belonging to the General classification
- Should be studying at post-matriculation/post-secondary level i.e Ph.D. level
- The income of the family should be less than Rs.1 lakh from all the sources
Benefits of this Scholarship

4) A&N Scholarship for OBC Students
The Government of India along with the Ministry of Tribal has invited applications for Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students of grades 1st to 10th in Andaman and Nicobar for the year 2020-21. The scholarship is applicable for candidates who are permanent residents of Andaman and Nicobar. They aim at providing a good education for students to excel in their future endeavors
Period of the Scholarship: The duration of this Scholarship is 10 months to 1 Year

Eligibility list
- They should belong to Another Backward category
- Must be a permanent resident of Andaman and Nicobar
- Should be in their Class of 1 to 10
- the family income of the student must be less than 2.5 lakhs
Awards given for this Scholarship
- The hostel students of grades 3 to 10 will receive Rs. 500 per month they get for 10 months
- The Day-Scholar students of grades 1 to 10 will receive Rs.100 every month for 10 months
- An additional fee of Rs.500 per annum is given for both hostellers and day-scholars
