ST Scholarship Assam 2023

The states of Assam have schemes for ST category candidates. The scholarship is disseminated on the basis of family income and merit of the student. Also, there are schemes is to disable students belonging to the ST category. There are many scholarships running below–

1) Post Matric ST Scholarship 2023 Assam 

Post Matric ST Scholarship Assam 2023 has been offered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. One can apply between Oct to Nov. Students who are from ST Category from class 11th to doctorate level from a prestigious university/college can apply. Also, their annual family income should be 2 lakh P/A.

Scholarship Reward: Students will be given maintenance allowance, additional allowance, and study tour from INR 1200 per month to 1600 per annum.

2) Pre Matric ST Assam Fellowship

Pre Matric ST Scholarship Assam 2023 is offered by the Government of Scholarship, the scholarship aims at offering financial support to the students who are students of class 9th and 10th and are doing schooling from the Government recognized school of Assam.

Their family annual income should be less than 2 lakh P/A. The selected students will be offered books and ad hoc grant INR 750 and INR 1000 for those who are living in the hostel. Additional allowance disability if any is INR 240.

3) Combined Merit Scheme Assam 

Higher Education Department, Govt of Assam offers Combined Merit Scholarship to the needy students who are pursuing a UG degree, Masters Degree, and Ph.D. level education. Candidates must be the Domicile holder of Assam with a minimum of 60 % marks.

Reward: Selected candidates will get stipend amounts from INR 900 to INR 3000 P/A.

Last Date To Apply: Students can apply between August to October.

4) Pre Matric Scholarship to the children cleaning and Prone to Health Hazards

The scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to children who are involved in occupations involving cleaning and are prone to health hazards. Scholarships from class 3rd to class Xth. The tenure of the scholarship will be terminated at the end of class Xth. Selected candidates will be given INR 700 to INR 110  and Ad Hoc INR 750 per student. The mode of application is through the concerned department.

1. Post Matric Scholarship For SC Students 2023

Post Matric Scholarship for SC students 2023 is flourishing and giving benefits under The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. The main emphasis has been given to the students of the SC category who are the domicile holder of Assam. The scheme financially supports the students for their higher studies from class 11th and above. This way it is also preventing the rate of drop out after high school. 

Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for Post -Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Assam make sure you fulfill the eligibility criteria:

• Applicants must be studying in class 11th or above pursuing recognized post-matric and post-secondary courses.
• The annual income of the family must not be exceeding INR 2.5 lakh.
• You must belong to the SC category.
• Must not getting any other scholarship 
• Employed students on leave without pay can apply.
• Students pursuing PG in medicine can apply only if they are not allowed to practice during the course. 
• Students who have taken coaching in any pre-examination training centers with financial assistance from the government are not allowed.

Rewards

• Maintenance Allowance – Maximum of INR 1200 per month. 
• Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees.

• Click on “New Student”.
• Select the state of domicile, then scholarship, scheme type, write your name, dob, gender, mobile number, and email-id.
• Provide Bank details.
• The mobile number verified and an OTP will be generated. 
• Login using OTP and fill other academic details.
• Submit your application form.

Terms and Conditions

• The scholarship will be if a student has 75% attendance in each academic year. 
• The scholarship will be given for 10 months. 
• Students who are studying in India can apply. 
• Funds must be invested for the same purpose. 

 

2. Postgraduate Research Fellowship

The Post Graduation Research Fellowship has been flourishing by Human Resource and Development, Govt of Assam. This scholarship is offered to the domicile candidates of Assam who is pursuing a Ph.D. at the initial level. Students can apply offline through the Director of Higher Education, Assam department.

Reward: Selected candidates will be awarded between INR 600 per month for 6 years.

Last Date: One can apply from August month till October tentatively.

 

3. Assam Foundation of North America Academics

The Academics scholarship is a small initiative by the Assam Foundation of North America that aims at offering financial assistance to the students who have registered in the bachelor’s degree courses. Their family income should below INR 50,000 P/A . Apply through assamfoundation.net before April month of every year

4. Pre Matric OBC 2023 scholarship

OBC scholarship 2023 is offered by the Government of Assam and can apply between November and January. The students who are from class 1st to 10th and must be belonging to the OBC category. Family income must be 2.50 lakh P/A from all the sources.

Reward: Selected students will get INR 100 T to INR 500 per month for 10 months.
