Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2024- About
Sitaram Jindal Scholarship application form is released every year for meritorious students who want to pursue UG, PG, and Diploma Courses. Basically, the scholarship is provided to students of economically weaker sections to make them more educated and develop like the other children of our Society. It is a merit cum means scholarship scheme that was started by Sitaram Jindal Foundation. The scholarship runs by a charitable trust in Bengaluru whose aim is to support the education of the needy and deserving candidates.
The fresh application form for this year’s scholarship is now available on the official website. Selected candidates will receive a fair amount of INR 2500 per month and other allowances. The scholarship is available for 11th to PG students. Any Indian student of School, college, University can apply for the Jindal Scholarship 2024. Sitaram Jindal Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship will be offered in different categories according to the education of an applicant. Students need to fulfil the eligibility criteria to get maximum benefits. The eligibility criteria of this scholarship are on the basis of family income, academic background, and much more.
So are you eligible? Check from the below-mentioned points category-wise.
Category ‘A’
- Applicants must be class 11th to 12th
- Male candidates must have scored at least 65% marks in the previous exam and girls candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% marks.
- Students of Karnataka and West Bengal must have a score minimum of 75% marks (boys) and 70% marks in the case of girls.
- The annual family income( who are in employment ) must not be more than 4 lakh.
- For other candidates, annual family income should not be more than 2.5 lakhs
- Must not have crossed 30 years of age.
Category B
- The applicants must be doing ITI courses from any government or private Institute .
- The male candidates applying for the scholarship must have score minimum 505 marks and female candidates must have scored minimum 40% marks .
- The annual family income( who are in employment ) must not be more than 4 lakh .
- For other candidates annual family income should not be more than 2.5 lakhs
- Must not have crossed 30 years of age.
Category C
- Candidates who must be studying in PG and graduate courses are eligible to apply.
- For girls candidates they must have secured 60% marks.
- For boys candidates they must have secured 65% marks.
- The students of Karnataka and West Bengal must have secured a minimum of 70% marks (boys) and 65% marks (girls)
- The annual family income( who are in employment ) must not be more than 4 lakh .
- For other candidates, annual family income should not be more than 2.5 lakhs
- Must not have crossed 30 years of age.
Category D
- Candidates must be pursuing Diploma courses like Civil Engg, Computer Science, chemical, automobile, Nursing , Pharmacy and Physiotherapy and environmental related courses.
- Applicants must have secured minimum 60 marks (boys) and minimum 55% marks (girls).
- The annual family income( who are in employment ) must not be more than 4 lakh .
- For other candidates annual family income should not be more than 2.5 lakhs
- Must not have crossed 30 years of age.
Category E
- Candidates must be studying engineering, medicine, and architecture courses.
- MDS students are not eligible for this scheme .
- Male candidates must have scored at least 70% in last qualifying exam and girls candidates must have scored minimum 65 % marks .
- The students of Karnataka and West Bengal must have secured minimum 75% marks (boys) and 70% marks (girls)
- The annual family income( who are in employment ) must not be more than 4 lakh.
- For other candidates, annual family income should not be more than 2.5 lakhs
- Must not have crossed 30 years of age.
Note – The percentage criteria for differently able candidates is that they should have scored passing marks in all the categories. A minimum 5% relaxation is given for refreshing the scholarship.
Jindal Scholarship Last Date 2024-24
Jindal Scholarship 2024 last Date is 30th Aug, 2024. It is advised please fill the form and submit before the deadline. The form can be submitted by the online and offline method. Selected scholars of the Jindal Scholarship Program receive significant financial assistance that covers a substantial portion of their educational expenses. This includes tuition fees, accommodation, books, and other necessary resources. The scholarship program aims to alleviate the financial burden on students and enable them to focus wholeheartedly on their education and personal growth.
