NSP UGC scholarships 2021 check complete list, eligibility | UGC scholarship for SC/ST PG students

University Grants Commission has come up with an scholarship program names as UGC scholarships 2021 to support meritorious students by helping them provide some financial support for their degree/PG courses.

UGC comes under Ministry of Human Resource Development and many scholarships are being offered by them name as NSP UGC scholarships.

UGC NSP Scholarship 2021 – 21 : Complete list

There are 4 Types of scholarships offered whose crisp details are mentioned below :

  1. Ishan Uday Scholarship For North Eastern Region (NER).
  2. Indira Gandhi scholarship for PG for single girl child student.
  3. PG scholarship for university rank holders (1’st and 2’nd Rank holder students)
  4. UGC scholarship for PG students (ST/SC category)

UGC scholarship 2021 : Eligibility criteria

  1. Ishan Uday Scholarship for North Eastern Region (NER) :

  • Student should be domicile of NER (North eastern regions – Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland).
  • Parental income of student should not exceed 4.5 Lakh per annum & that include from all sources
  • Passed 12’th or equivalent exam
  • Secured admission in the first year for any degree course (General degree/professional/medical/paramedical/technical)

Transgender are also eligible for this scholarship. Reservation will be followed as per norms of Govt. of India

  1. Indira Gandhi scholarship for PG for single girl child student:

  • scholarship scheme is applicable for single girl child who has taken admission in any master degree course.
  • Girls students upto 30 years of age are eligible

Note : Admission in PG course (distance education) is not covered under this scheme

  1. PG scholarship for university rank holders (1’st and 2’nd Rank holder students ):

  • Scholarship is available for students for first PG degree course
  • Age limit of students is 30 years
  • Undergraduate courses listed here are identified as applicable course for this scholarship . physical sciences, life sciences, mathematical sciences, chemical sciences, earth sciences, , social sciences, earth sciences, languages, commerce.
  • First & Second Rank holder would be considered for this scheme. 

Note : Admission in PG course (distance education) is not covered under this scheme

  1. UGC scholarship for PG students (SC/ST category) :

  • Persuing professional PG courses from govt authorized colleges/universities/institute.

Award Money for UGC scholarship 2021 -22 :

UGC scholarship for PG students (ST/SC category)

INR 7,800/Month for 2 years for ME/M.Tech course

INR 4,500/Month for other professional courses.

UGC Scholarship 2020-21 apply online :  

Below are the series of steps one should follow at the time of apply on National  scholarship portal.

  1. Visit official website i.e. scholarships.gov.in
  2. Click on new user registration, read all required information carefully, then click continue to process further
  3. After filling all required details click register.
  4. Once registration done then students would receive application ID & password on their registered phone no and on their registered email ID
  5. Login with that user ID & password
  6. After successful login change your default password as per instruction given
  7. Click on application form to start application
  8. Fill all details and upload all required documents on portal.
  9. Submit the application

Note : after final submission no changes are allowed.
