The Jamsetjee Nusserwanjee Tata Endowment for The Higher Education Of Indians (JNTE) Scheme established in 1892 by Jamsetjee Nusserwanjee, the promoter of the Tata Group. He has provided loan scholarships to over 5,600 Indian students. The Means Grant scholarship provides partial financial assistance to college students (excluding those in the engineering stream) and school students (from STD VIII onwards) to support them with their fees. The scheme is designed to cater to students’ financial needs.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must apply for the current academic year, specifically for the academic year 2023-24.
- Applicants must have achieved a minimum pass percentage in their previous examination (ATKT students are not eligible).

- Students who possess the original annual fee receipt for the academic year 2023-24 are eligible to apply.

Spectrum Grants Scheme
Spectrum Grants cover funding for rare research projects, support for sports activities, and caregivers of children with special needs. The supported sports include Athletics, Gymnastics, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Swimming, Badminton, Pistol Shooting, Rifle Shooting, Archery, Chess, and Para Sports. Additionally, the Trusts have launched a program to assist teachers and mothers in caring for children with learning disabilities.
Lady Tata Memorial Trust Scheme
The Lady Tata Memorial Trust was established in 1932 by Sir Dorabji Tata as a tribute to his beloved wife, Lady Meherbai Tata. This esteemed trust dedicates a significant portion of its income to promote research in the field of blood disorders and leukemic diseases, while also striving to alleviate human suffering from various illnesses in India and across the globe. The trust’s mission extends beyond research support, encompassing institutional scientific research, recognizing promising young scientists through the prestigious ‘Young Researcher Award,’ and conducting a comprehensive Teachers’ Training Programme.
In the academic year 2021-22, the Lady Tata Memorial Trust awarded Junior Research Fellowships to 15 exceptional students from different universities and institutes in India. These fellowships were granted to fund their outstanding research projects. Additionally, the trust focused on leukemia, biology, and cancer treatment for its Institutional Research Grants in the same period. Out of numerous proposals received, six deserving projects were selected for funding and support.

During the 2021-22 academic year, scholarships amounting to GBP 185,000 (approximately INR 1.84 crore) were generously awarded to support five international research projects focused on leukemia and other blood-related diseases.
